George Clooney hosting the Haiti Telethon

| Celebrity Update George Clooney will be hosting a telethon in an effort to help the people in Haiti. The 48 year old American actor, film director, producer, and screenwriter confirms to a hollywood reporter that he will indeed host the telethon on MTV next friday to help raise money for the nation.
Haiti has been struck by a powerful Magnitude 7 Earthquake last Tuesday afternoon and was centered about 10 kilometres west of the capital Port-au-Prince. Fearing the death toll will reach to a hundred of thousands were lots of people are still trapped inside the collapsed infrastructure. |
All MTV channels as well as ABC, NBC, CNN and HBO will air the telethon, which will run live on Friday, January 22, from 8-10 PM EST.
A number of stars like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie already expresses their effort to help the Nation with that tragic event.
