Blake Lively as Green Lantern’s leading lady

Celebrity Update Blake Lively will be the Green Lantern’s leading lady Carol Ferris. The 22 year old American actress who is known for her role in a big hit series Gossip Girl will be alongside with Ryan Reynolds’ Hal Jordan as they will start filming this March and the film’s release date is set for June of 2011.
Jennifer Garner, Diane Kruger and Eva Green were some of the rumored choices for the role of Carol Ferris and Blake Lively was the luckiest to be chosen as the filming will be held first at Louisiana. |
Green Lantern is based on the DC Comics serial about an ordinary man chosen by an alien to receive an energy ring that can be used to protect the planet.
Some were saying that she was too young for that role but Blake Lively was able to impressed everyone with both her audition and work in Ben Affleck’s new film The Town, now in post-production.
