An amount of $500,000 was generously donated by the 40 year old American actress to Doctors Without Borders, Partners in Health and AmeriCares.

Jennifer Aniston also participated Friday’s megastar-studded Hope for Haiti Now telethon, which as of today has raised $61 million.

Many Celebrities right now are in an effort to collect funds and the Haiti which has been hit by a disastrous earthquake early this month.

George Clooney hosting the Haiti Telethon

george Celebrity Update George Clooney will be hosting a telethon in an effort to help the people in Haiti. The 48 year old American actor, film director, producer, and screenwriter confirms to a hollywood reporter that he will indeed host the telethon on MTV next friday to help raise money for the nation.

Haiti has been struck by a powerful Magnitude 7 Earthquake last Tuesday afternoon and was centered about 10 kilometres west of the capital Port-au-Prince. Fearing the death toll will reach to a hundred of thousands were lots of people are still trapped inside the collapsed infrastructure.

All MTV channels as well as ABC, NBC, CNN and HBO will air the telethon, which will run live on Friday, January 22, from 8-10 PM EST.

A number of stars like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie already expresses their effort to help the Nation with that tragic event.
